The Walking Dead is known for being brutal and for losing major characters quicker than we lose our bobby pins. The season seven finale is shaping up to be nearly as disturbing as the one that preceded.
Scott Gimple has revealed ‘there will be losses’ in the last episode of the series next month and that fans should brace themselves, because one of their favourites could meet a bloody end.
Although the final won’t be quite as awful as when Negan killed Glenn with his horrifying baseball bat Lucille, it doesn’t mean there won’t be some major upsets.
Speaking to TV Line the show runner revealed that the ‘losses’ will be shocking and added: “As the stakes get higher and higher…things start to get more intense and heartbreaking. Yet everyone has to sort of band together and keep going.”
However it won’t be all bad for our survivors. Scott also revealed that there will be moments of ‘light’ for Rick and his team and that some good news will come out of the darkness too.
The finale won’t centre just around the losses and the deaths, but will also have some hint of hope. Finally. “This season’s finale has darkness and light,” he said, adding “there are some real moments of beauty, redemption, love and friendship.”
Rick will face some serious ‘betrayal’ though. We have a feeling that will come from the hands of Eugene, the turn coat. Fans have only a few weeks to wait to see what happens in the episode, titled “The First Day of the Rest of Your Life”.
