There is a major death coming up on “The Walking Dead” Season 7. After Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), it looks like Sasha Williams (Sonequa Martin) may bid farewell soon.
It is still a while before Season 7 ends, but another major death has already been hinted by numerous reports. According to a report by The Independent, Sasha may sacrifice herself in a failed attempt to take out Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
It even intensified when the 12th episode ended with Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos) persuading Sasha to help her kill the villain. The latter agreed to help on one condition – she gets to take the shot.
With this, Rosita handed Sasha a rifle, informing her that she memorized Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carl Grimes’ (Chandler Riggs) description of Negan’s compound. They then acknowledge that the mission will likely end in their deaths with the former emphasizing that “It’s a one-way ticket for both of us."
Sonequa Martin, however, has since addressed the death rumors.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the 31-year-old American actress stressed how both Sansa and Rosita could still have a strong chance of coming out alive.
“I definitely do,” Martin said. “I think anyone could. I think any duo paired up in our gang of heroes could succeed for sure. We've developed to this point where that kind of thing is possible.”
Martin also talked about what Sasha and Rosita would experience if they get caught at the Sanctuary. She said, “It's hard to know how he would respond. Would he see Rosita and Sasha as the people he needs to break down like Daryl or would he see them as assets like Eugene? That's what's exciting because who knows how he might respond — especially because he has that anger toward women.”
The 13th episode of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 airs on March 12 at 9:00 PM on AMC.
