'The Walking Dead' Season 8: The Return of Glenn Rhee (SPOILERS)

Previously starring as Glenn Rhee in the hit series, the star has opened up about possibly returning to the show.

As fans will know, Glenn was brutally killed by Negan in season seven, making a comeback highly unlikely.

Glenn’s final words were “I’ll find you” to Maggie, the mother of his unborn child, prompting fans to speculate how he could return to the AMC series.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Steven said: "I will leave it open to what makes sense. I wouldn’t want anybody to force anything but if it makes sense, then I am totally down."

Steven previously said: "Part of me feels a little bit of pride for doing it, every character has a chance of losing the spark of their character over time, who knows if that would have happened, but one thing that I am sure of is that it left a lasting impact."

Last October it was revealed that Steven had "lobbied hard" to see Glenn die as per the comic book.

"Robert [Kirkman, author of the Walking Dead comic book] wrote such a messed up and incredible way to take something away to make a story as impactful as it is and when you read that comic, you kinda don't want that to go to anyone else. It's such an iconic moment," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

The actor also gushed: "I owe The Walking Dead my whole start. I was doing theatre in Chicago, sketch comedy and improv, and then I moved to Los Angeles and that show opened the door to let me in to the business.
