We’ve known for a while that The Walking Dead’s season 8 premiere would also serve as its 100th episode. We just weren’t sure when that would be. Until now.

AMC has announced that the post-apocalyptic zombie drama will return on October 22. Not only that, but the network also unveiled some new Comic-Con key art for the show’s upcoming panel in San Diego on Friday, July 21.

This marks the first official promotional art for season 8, coming after EW exclusively revealed the first official season 8 photo featuring Norman Reedus’ Daryl and Melissa McBride’s Carol readying for battle as well as another exclusive photo of an armed Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan.

The show experienced real-life tragedy last week when stuntman John Bernecker died after falling more than 20 feet and hitting concrete. Showrunner Scott M. Gimple and AMC both released statements about the “tragic loss,” and now it remains to be seen how the accident will be addressed at the show’s upcoming Comic-Con panel on Friday, July 21 in San Diego.

You can check out the new Comic-Con art for The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead above and keep your eyes peeled here for more Walking Dead news to come in the following days. In the meantime, set your calendar alert now for Oct. 22 as The Walking Dead launches into the “All Out War” arc from the comic when season 8 is finally unleashed.
