After a 90-minute episode dedicated solely to Lennie James’ Morgan Jones, we’re back in Alexandria and with Rick Grimes’ (Andrew Lincoln) group in The Walking Dead Season 6, Episode 5: “Now.”.
In the first sneak peek for the ep below, we see Deanna Monroe, played by Tovah Feldshuh, climbing up into the lookout above Alexandria’s main gate.

She doesn’t say anything, but as she gets up to the top of the tower and surveys the damage the Wolves caused down below, we can tell she’s frightened and taking it all in one bit at a time.
Deanna sees wreckage, and watches intently as the dead bodies of former Alexandria residents are carted away.
By contrast, Tara Chambler, (Alanna Masterson) Maggie Greene, (Lauren Cohan) and some others are going about their lives, business as usual.
As Deanna is surveying all the damage someone from the outside yells, “Open the gate!” Let’s just hope it’s one of ours.
