'The Walking Dead' Season 6: Glenn's Death Accidentally Confirmed By Norman Reedus? [SPOILERS]

Norman Reedus may have let a huge The Walking Dead season 6 spoiler slip during San Diego Comic Con 2015.

MTV asked the cast of The Walking Dead which dead characters they wished were still alive in the TV series. Reedus, who was sleeping on Melissa McBride’s lap during the interview, blurted out who he wished was still alive: Glenn. The other cast members stayed quiet for a little bit and looked around at each other before Lincoln broke the silence.

The Walking Dead producer Greg Nicotero chimed in at the end saying Glenn’s still alive on the show. Whether Reedus was being a big troll is unknown, but Glenn’s fate in the comics is extremely gruesome. In The Walking Dead comics, the infamous Negan beats Glenn to death with a baseball bat.

Glenn’s death occurred shortly after Rick and the other survivors arrived to Alexandria, which could mean The Walking Dead fans may have to say goodbye to their favorite character. Stephen Yeun, who plays Glenn on the AMC series, spoke about his character’s potential death during the 2015 National Association of Broadcasters Show back in April.

Yeun explained if Glenn’s time on the series comes to an end he will welcome it; the actor believes if the show’s writers decide to kill off his character, it will be meaningful to the story.

“The way that we make the show — the writers and everybody really want to focus on making things poignant and purposeful and meaningful,” Yeun said. “So if it were for Glenn to go, then it’s probably going to be awesome.”
