'The Walking Dead' Season 6: Rosita's Secret, Who Is She? (MEGA SPOILERS)

It was recently confirmed (to nobody's surprise) that Season 6 of The Walking Dead will indeed premiere in October, and it looks like fans are finally going to see the tensions between the survivors and the Alexandrians come to a head.

Season 5's finale episode, "Conquer", saw Rick effectively take control of the Safe Zone after being given permission to execute Pete, Jessie's abusive husband, but whether the rest of the camp's inhabitants will cope well with the change of command remains to be seen.

Actress Christian Serratos, who plays the quiet but determined Rosita, recently spoke to AMC about her character's backstory, giving us hope that we'll see more of her next season.

One of the show's most underrated characters, Rosita may not get as much screen time as fan favorites Daryl, Glenn and Michonne, but that doesn't mean that she's one to be messed with. Serratos is quick to insist that Rosita's a lone wolf who is more than capable of looking after herself: "She’s remarkably brave.

What I love about her is that she’s definitely a capable woman and is capable of taking care of herself. If she was alone in the apocalypse, she would manage very well and would be just fine." The actress goes on to examine her character's backstory, suggesting that her innate grittiness is one of the reasons that her relationship with the unsentimental Abraham works so well: "I know what her family situation might have been.

What I was told is that she came from a family of just men. She might have lost her mother and grew up with a bunch of brothers. I think that’s where she gets a lot of her knowledge, strength and capability. I think Abraham sees an equal in her." Fingers crossed that Rosita will stick around for many seasons to come.
