We called it! After a much heated online debate, substantial rumors have circulated suggesting that Glenn will be returning in the next episode of The Walking Dead this Sunday.
Last time we saw Glenn at the end of Episode 3, he was was left trapped under Nicholas' body as the walker horde surrounded him. This is a tricky predicament to get out of, but according to a trusted source of The Spoiling Dead Fans, Glenn is indeed alive. When asked how Glenn survived, the source responded:
"The old hide under the dumpster trick. Cheap. (Glenn basically waits it out until the walkers leave. Enid spots Glenn first from a roof and throws him some water down after he gets out.)" Whether this will transpire to be true is another question, but the source has been accurate in the past. Furthermore, in the latest promo for Episode 7, we noticed somebody who looked very familiar.
Although we can't see the face, it's notable that the unseen figure on the right is wearing very similar pants to those worn by Glenn in the dumpster scene with Nicholas. Is this confirmation that Glenn survived?
The figure also has similar skin tones and is wearing a similar jacket, so it's highly possible that this is Glenn after all. However, if it's indeed him, it's surprising that there aren't any bloodstains on his clothes, especially as Nicholas was devoured on top of him. Whether or not this is Glenn though, there won't be any time to celebrate.
With walkers surrounding Alexandria and Negan's approach on the horizon, will Glenn get the happy ending with Maggie that he deserves? We here at melty hope so, but when has hope ever lasted long on The Walking Dead?
