'The Walking Dead' Season 6: Attack Of The Wolves?

Andrew Lincoln shared what happened in the last few moments of "The Walking Dead" season 6 premiere. As far as premieres for this show go, it isn't going to be remembered past next weekend, but there was nothing overly wrong with the episode, which is a win in and of itself for this often uneven hour of television. A free online stream of "First Time Again" will likely be offered by AMC the following morning.

Spoiler TV spoke with showrunner Scott M. Gimple about the B&W flashbacks that were featured in last nights season premiere.

Grimes' group will team up with Alexandria residents in an attempt to topple the giant zombie group headed their way in "The Walking Dead" season 6. He's taken charge of Alexandria, but he's still willing to defer to Deanna on final decisions (or at least give that illusion), and he remains focused on the task at hand.

It nearly worked, but instead of being saved by the bell, they were harmed by the horn, which sent the noise-sensitive zombies trudging toward Alexandria.

The Walking Dead has done an excellent job of keeping Rick lovable enough for the audience to root for him, but not so infallible that we don't question his leadership. He had a big hole in his neck and I think he was smoking one of those electronic cigarettes, and I thought it was going to come out of the side of his neck. But the truth of the matter is we wouldn't have it any other way.

The episode itself was put together a bit differently than normal.

"This is our most intense season yet", he said. I don't really do those things where you see those people to be honest that know that they're loved, to be honest. Ultimately, Carter died, leading to more disapproving looks from Morgan and Michonne (Lennie James and Danai Gurira).

"In the first version of the episode, we had oversaturated the present day and desaturated the past", Nicotero explained.

As they were debating what to do with Pete's body, these two discovered a bunch of walkers and were forced to save Ron, who had followed them to learn where his dad was buried. There's big cliffhangers every episode.

However, Nicotero told Entertainment Weekly that he's hoping an all color version of "The Walking Dead" season 6 will be available on DVD, should the team decided to make one.
