Creator of the comics, Robert Kirkman, has often said that no one is safe on The Walking Dead. Even though this is something we all know, we don’t really include Rick, Daryl, Carl, or Michonne in that statement.
It’s a given that Rick and Carl won’t die unless The Walking Dead wants to take the series to a whole other level and change the plot around completely. TWD is not TWD without Rick and his kid. Actually, maybe it can work without Carl, but it’s not gonna happen.
Daryl though, as much as fans love him, does have to go sometime. The walker series is already on its sixth season, they can only keep him around for so long. This of course doesn’t make things any easier for us. Daryl’s death is going to be incredibly upsetting and I can’t even imagine the riots that it will star among fans.
When Emily Kinney’s Beth was killed off, fans were not happy. Petitions started around the web to bring her character back, so can you picture the war we would see if Daryl died?
The people behind The Walking Dead are aware of this, which is why they’ve only teased us but have kept Daryl. Will Season 6 be the one where Daryl’s death happens though? I don’t think so, I see Daryl having another season after this, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if they decide to end Daryl’s run this season.
In the Season 6 trailer, we see a captured Daryl. The crossbow expert is in major danger and it doesn’t look like there is anyone around to help him. This isn’t the first time Daryl is in big trouble though. Daryl was once taken by the Governor and then Daryl found danger again with Joe’s gang. So, it’s not the first time we are teased that Daryl will be killed. There has been Daryl death theories before the start of each season.
My best guess and from what other sources have been discussing online – Daryl will live the majority of the season or even the entire season. The main character I see them killing off this season is Glenn and most possibly Carol, too.
