‘The Walking Dead‘ is set to return to our screens for its sixth season in October, and there are a lot of questions we want answered. One of the biggest is what’s next for the people of the Alexandria Safe Zone, and what will Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Morgan (Lennie James) have to say to each other?
There are a number of other issues we hope to see addressed too, and there will be plenty of shocking moments we’re sure – though we hope our favourites aren’t killed early on.
Over the weekend at the Saturn Awards, Greg Nicotero and Scott Gimple from ‘The Walking Dead’ took part in an interview with Collider and spoke about season six…
“In season one, Night of the Living Dead was sort of our holy grail,” director Greg Nicotero explained during the interview, adding:
“We were striving to make something as meaningful as that material. It gets harder every year, but we don’t back down. We try so hard to keep the show fresh and keep the show original.”
The pair went on to explain what fans can expect from season six, and in particular how the premiere episode will feel like a little bit of a puzzle.
“It’s bold,” Nicotero revealed to Collider, adding: “We want our audience to think, and they get to put together the puzzle that we are presenting to them, knowing that by the end of the episode that they will have arrived at the conclusion that we want them to arrive at.”
‘The Walking Dead’ is set to return to our screens sometime in October, but before that, ‘Fear the Walking Dead’, the new companion series from AMC, will air in August.
