'The Walking Dead' Season 6: Will They Die On The AMC Show? [SPOILER]

"The Walking Dead" season 6 filming is well underway, and it appears that a new character from the comic book series may be joining Rick Grimes' TV group. SPOILERS might also reveal his death. Those that don't want to know the full identity should turn back now.

According to a new photo from The Spoiling Dead Fans, there's strong evidence to suggest that actor Kenric Green has been cast to play an Alexandria Safe-Zone resident named Scott. The picture shows a man that looks similar to Green standing in costume next to Glenn's Steven Yeun. This pairing of characters is directly related to the comic book timeline.

In the printed story of "The Walking Dead," Scott makes his debut shortly after Rick and company arrive at the Safe-Zone with Aaron. He's the best friend of another character named Heath and is one of Alexandria's most prominent supply runners. Unfortunately, the man incurs an infection during his travels and must be killed by Michonne. Glenn is then asked to take over his duties.

Even for those that wish to avoid spoilers, this story isn't a major one. Scott doesn't last for long and his death is mainly used to push Keith's narrative forward.

That being said, the choice to cast Kenric in the role is certainly an interesting one. His acting credentials are somewhat thin at this point, but he is the husband of Sasha actress Sonequa Martin-Green. In January of this year, the pair announced the birth of their first child, Kenric Justin Green II.

As filming of "The Walking Dead" season 6 continues, Green's role is one of a few to be revealed over the past few days. On Friday, Design & Trend reported that "Iron Man 3" actor Corey Hawkins had also been added to the show's roster as Heath. That character has a much larger story to tell in "The Walking Dead" lore.

One thing that remains to be seen is if the name of Scott will be maintained in the TV transition. After all, the first season 6 character reports teased two males named Delvin and Tucker. It's possible that Green could be filling in for either of those spots. Even though he's dressed like Scott, maybe the new name means his character will feature a more prominent story arc.
