‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6: Will Daryl Be With Carol Or Michonne (SPOILERS)

With more villains and a new leader in Alexandria, will Daryl at least find love in "The Walking Dead" season 6?

Soon after season 5 ended, new updates surfaced online regarding what's next for Rick and the entire group this coming "The Walking Dead" season 6. After all the new villains coming, will Norman Reedus' Daryl Dixon finally have his own romance either with Carol or Michonne in the next chapter?

While fans keep ogling about Norman Reedus' character in the AMC series "The Walking Dead," they are also hopeful that season 6 will bring the crossbow-wielding huntsman a lady. As Daryl Dixon has been linked to Melissa McBride's Carol Peletier, other female members of their group have also been at one time, linked to Daryl including Danai Gurira's Michonne.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Norman Reedus shares about the possibility of turning Daryl Dixon and Carol's flourishing friendship into a romantic involvement. "We don't have to make out to be who we are," Reedus shared.

"We're kindred spirits; there's a brother-sister bond there that's almost stronger than a lovey-dovey bond."

Meanwhile, other speculations point toward Daryl's possible blooming love interest in Michonne. The two have been pitted together because of their devil-may-care attitude, but no developments so far. However, in the latest "The Walking Dead" season 5 episode, there could be conflict between the two come season 6 as Michonne has slightly sided with the leader of Alexandria against Rick, which obviously will not sit well with Rick's right-hand man.

In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Norman Reedus talks about the developments in Daryl Dixon's character before "The Walking Dead" season 6. "He's open to the possibility of change," said Reedus.

"That one episode, where he puts a cigarette out on his arm - he does that to try and feel something. He's realizing he's not feeling anything. When he does that and realizes he doesn't feel anything, it brings him to tears. That all-time low is a heavy thing for him. They keep giving him little glimpses of hope and then something awful happens. He loses someone or has to stab his brother in the face. You see him open up a little to the possibility of it."
