Just as romance with Jessie was teased in season 5, Rick's son also seems to have a potential female love interest in Enid.
Considering what the father-son duo has been through, it will be interesting to see how Grimes responds to the situation. Viewers remain divided on Enid's trustworthiness, so will Rick have the same apprehensions as those fans who doubt her?
Now that Pete is dead, are Rick and Jessie free to start a romantic relationship? The Internet was aflame when Grimes kissed her during the Alexandria get together, so it seems likely that the producers might develop that plot a bit further.
We'd like to see it during season 6, because it breaks new ground for Rick's character and the entire series. Love on a romantic level has almost never been a part of "The Walking Dead" before, so funneling that theme through its main protagonist would bring a fresh element to the story.
As long as the show doesn't devolve into a soap opera, love in the apocalypse isn't a terrible arc to consider.
