'Walking Dead' Season 6: Series Casting Girlfriend For Daryl Dixon [SPOILERS]

"The Walking Dead" is looking for an actress in her late 20s to early 40s — and rumor has it she might end up playing motorcycle-riding badass Daryl Dixon's (Norman Reedus) first real love interest.

According to a recent casting call, "Allison" is a "smart, artful, and charming psychologist who quickly turns awkward and messy when it comes to her personal life. She’d much rather stay safely inside her comfort zone, but the true test of her mettle comes when the comfort’s gone and the stakes are life and death. She's not cynical and really cares about people."

Both Inquisitr and Undead Walking have speculated this character and Daryl could become close, since she's a psychologist and Daryl has subtly expressed interest in improving his mental health (namely by snagging a copy of "Treating Survivors of Child Abuse: Psychotherapy for the Interrupted Life" while in Atlanta with Carol, a quiet nod to the already touched-upon abuse he suffered at the hand of his father). The sites also believe a close friendship could lead to something romantic.

If their guess is correct, Caryl fans will surely be disappointed. It's been long-thought that Daryl and Carol (Melissa McBride) would get together, after they spent several seasons bonding.

Reedus himself has spoken about what he thinks Daryl would be like in a relationship, revealing that he thinks the character would be fairly awkward with women.

"It's not that I don't [want him to have a girlfriend]," he added. "It's just once that happens, it's over. It happened. It's become such a big deal, who I hook up with on the show," he added. "In real life, when you hook up with someone and it's real, you don't see it coming, so I don't want to see it coming."
