Shooting for Season 6 of "The Walking Dead" began in early May, and the apparent absence of certain cast members on set — specifically Norman Reedus and Danai Gurira — has had fans speculating whether Daryl or Michonne might die early in the season.
The Spoiling Dead Fans recently posted photos of both Reedus and Gurira, taken in between filming, so it looks like we won't have to say goodbye to the fan favorites just yet.
This isn't the first time Daryl has been subjected to death rumors. Reedus himself recently spoke about various claims of his character's demise, after reports broke he was selling his home in Atlanta.
"That's not even my house," he told TheWrap in late April, adding, "I wish that was my house, it's a nice house."
Of the two characters, it's hard to say which would be more likely to be killed off in Season 6. Michonne is still alive well beyond this point in the comics, whereas Daryl was created specifically for the TV series. While the series has tweaked the source material to an extent, there's still a certain amount of predictability to Michonne's role on the show, as opposed to Daryl's.
On the other hand, the saying isn't "If Michonne Dies We Riot" — the series creators are well-aware how popular Daryl has become, and we're not sure they'd want to risk the success of the show by killing him off.
