‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6: Rick Finally Get The Therapy He Really Needs (SPOILERS)

It seems Season 6 of AMC’s The Walking Dead will herald the arrival of a psychologist — perhaps someone finally sorted out some help for Rick Grimes? Rick has suffered through several bouts of crazy behavior, including hallucinations of his wife and some pretty extreme reactions to several circumstances in The Walking Dead.

[ALLISON] Female, Late 20s to early 40s. A smart, artful, and charming psychologist who quickly turns awkward and messy when it comes to her personal life. She’d much rather stay safely inside her comfort zone, but the true test of her mettle comes when the comfort’s gone and the stakes are life and death. She’s not cynical and really cares about people.

For fans of The Walking Dead comics, many are suggesting this character might be a cover name for Dr. Denise Cloyd. In the past, AMC have used fake names during their casting calls in order to keep a degree of secrecy in regard to names that may create comic book crossover spoilers. For example, in Season 5, Jessie was originally known in the casting call as “Samantha.”

While it would seem likely that Rick Grimes would need the attentions of a psychologist, it is possible this character may also offer some support for Daryl Dixon — a kindred soul, if you like, thanks to them both being awkward socially.

Although, on top of these two characters, a psychologist on The Walking Dead could certainly bring some relief to most of Rick’s group, who are all suffering from PTSD in varying degrees. Now they have joined the relative safe haven of Alexandria, it would be a perfect time to address these issues.
