'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 1: Will They Called Walkers? (MEGA SPOILERS)

Although "Fear The Walking Dead" is closely related to "The Walking Dead," there are some major differences between the two shows. Besides being set in a different time and place than "The Walking Dead," the new series will also feature a change in its zombie vernacular.

"I'm going to surprise you," Creator David Erickson revealed in an interview with Yahoo TV. "All I'll say is this: I love the fact that in the comic and the original show, the vernacular, the language, varies depending on your community, your city, your state, whether it's walkers or biters."

"The names that we'll play with are kind of specific to what our characters experience as the story begins. Which is, if it seems to be a virus, it's a contagion, are they infected? It will be in that world at first, and then I think it will approach something a little bit more apocalyptic. That will coalesce as the season plays out."

What will the zombies be called in the new series? From lukers, roamers, biters or the contagious, it's really anyone's guess at what they'll call the new zombies at this point. The only thing certain is they won't be called walkers.

Along with Ericsson's spoilers, the show also released a few on-set photos and a video to Entertainment Weekly after finishing filming for the series' pilot episode. The images show a few shots of Kim Dickens and Cliff Curtis, both of whom play an important part in the series, as well as a couple behind-the-scenes looks at the crew.

In addition to the video, Robert Kirkman also revealed more details about the coming series in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"At its core this is a story of Travis and Madison, who are these two schoolteachers that both have kids from previous marriages and are very much in love," Kirkman stated.

AMC has yet to release an official premiere date for "Fear The Walking Dead," but it is rumored to premiere sometime this summer.
