The Walking Dead comic book is brutal. There are so many things that happen in its pages that don't quite make it to cable TV. The new season will be lining up more with the source material so the question is, how will Carl's depth perception be in season six? Spoilers and explanation below.
A huge attack from the wolves have been hinted at in the new season. In the comic, one of these attacks ends with Carl Grimes losing his eye by bullet. In the book it helps to reconcile his relationship with his father who had previously lost his hand.
Obviously, Rick still has both of his hands and there's no indication that he'll be losing either of them in any of the coming seasons.
So if Carl follows his storyline in the book, his eye loss may actually do the opposite and alienate him from his father. In the last season we saw Carl starting to get an idea of what normal life could be like which, for a child pretty much raised in the apocalypse, was something completely foreign.
His loss of an eye may set him back.
The same battle that may half blind Carl also sees Morgan in a spot of trouble. He is bitten by a zombie and loses his arm. Hopefully it turns him into like a one armed samurai.
Filming is set to start this summer for the new season so we're likely to begin getting hints at what's coming soon.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC in October.
