The Walking Dead Season 5 finally wrapped up last month with 'Conquer", its critically acclaimed finale episode. Following a confrontation with Pete, Jessie's abusive husband and Alexandria's resident surgeon, Rick was given permission by Deanna to execute him at point-blank range after he murdered Reg in a drunken rage.
The episode concluded with Morgan's arrival in the Safe Zone alongside Daryl and Aaron, with the trio watching speechlessly as Rick pulled the trigger. In case you missed it, you can read our recap of The Walking Dead Season 5: Episode 16 here.
Before Season 6 premieres this fall, fans can look forward to another heart dose of zombie action in the form of spinoff series Fear The Walking Dead, which is set to debut this summer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, viewers are likely to be treated to a blast from the past in the form of a character from a key episode of The Walking Dead's first season.
According to a source, initial scripts for the series feature a character from Season 1 of the original show which aired for six episodes in the fall of 2010. It remains to be seen whether the role will develop as FWTD progresses or whether the character will merely be guest starring, with AMC still yet to confirm the rumour.
In other crossover news, it was recently rumoured that a character from The Walking Dead's upcoming spinoff Fear The Walking Dead will be appearing in the show's sixth season, but we're still waiting on official word from the network. So, what do you think of the speculation? Do you think a crossover between the two shows is a good idea, or should Fear The Walking Dead be completely separate from its predecessor?
