The stars of the show have teased huge losses in the upcoming eighth episode, which was recently revealed to be 65 minutes long rather than the usual 40 minutes.
While the synopsis and title for the instalment is yet to be revealed, fans of the series will know that historically something major has taken place.
And now many are convinced Carl Grimes will be murdered after Chandler Riggs dropped a cryptic clue on Twitter.
According to The Spoiling Dead, the actor was spotted on set covered in blood as he fought of a Saviour while screaming.
The fan site also claimed that the youngster has not been seen filming The Walking Dead since August.
Furthermore, Chandler, 18, fuelled speculation that he would be leaving by telling his 1.54 million followers: "I don't know if I'll ever be as successful as I am right now, but I'm so glad I got this chance to tell a story that actually impacts people."
It comes after executive producer David Alpert warned that no character is safe and when asked about Carl's potential death, he teased: "I think we've shown time and time again that everybody's on the table, and that we're the type of show [where] we don't have a problem deviating from what the comic does.
"We had people saying, 'Oh, if Daryl dies, we riot.' No, it's like, we hear you. We still get people petitioning us to bring Beth back."
"There are so many people that love Emily [Kinney] that want her back," he told HuffPost. "That being said, everybody's on the table, and where the story demands we go, we're going to follow."
