Hopes are still high regarding the possibility that Glenn (Steven Yuen) is still alive, especially now that AMC announced that the vicious character named Negan will finally appear on screen.
Variety exclusively confirmed that the infamous villain will be introduced in one of the upcoming episodes of "TWD" season 6, and the character will be portrayed by actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Based on the comic books written by Robert Kirkman, Negan is the head of the cold-blooded group of survivors called the "Saviors." They are known to constantly demand food and other supplies owned by other survivors. These groups could agree with the Saviors since they promised to protect them from the walkers if their demands are met.
But in the comic books, Negan was introduced when he killed Glenn using his legendary baseball bat that he calls Lucille. But since Glenn accidentally fell into a sea of hungry walkers in "The Walking Dead" season 6 episode 3, fans are wondering how Negan will fit into the TV adaptation.
However, several fans still believe that Glenn survived the walkers' attack and will still have a face-off with Negan in an upcoming episode.
Negan is expected to appear in the series before the season finale.
