‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6: Carl Lose His Eye In Episode 8



Carl Grimes got really lucky in Season 6, Episode 7 of The Walking Dead when the tower fell just as Ron was seemingly about to shoot him. But that doesn’t mean Carl (or more specifically, his eye) is safe as we approach the midseason finale!


Jessie’s eldest son asked Rick Grimes to teach him how to use a gun, and after his first lesson he snuck into the munitions room and stole some bullets, only to find Carl and follow behind him like a weirdo.

Like we said, the tower tumbled just in time (for Carl’s sake, at least) but this is hardly the end of Ron’s beef with Rick’s son.

The teens previously argued about Enid, and we don’t think for one second that Ron just forgot Carl’s dad was the one who shot his father, Pete, in Season 5.


In Robert Kirkman’s comics on which TWD is based, Carl loses an eye after he’s accidentally shot by the head of Alexandria (a character named Douglas in the books), but we think the show is primed to “remix” that storyline a bit.

We’ve already established Ron has it out for Carl, and based on what we know about the Season 6 midseason finale, the angsty teen plays a major role in the loss of Carl’s eye on the small screen.
