'The Walking Dead' Spoilers: SHOCKING Season 6 Premiere, First Time Again!

Tonight’s episode has been given the title of “First Time Again” and it will focus on the reunion of Morgan (Lennie James) and Rick (Andrew Lincoln). It’s been a while since the pair have seen each other, and a lot has changed; Rick isn’t the man he used to be for a start, so meeting each other again feels like the first time.

While we don’t think they’ll have much to worry about with each other, what they will have to worry about is just how much the residents of Alexandria know, or rather, don’t know, about the outside world.

They’ve been locked up inside the Safe-Zone for such a long time that there’s a good chance they won’t be able to defend themselves against what’s out there – unlike Rick and the group. Sooner or later though, they are going to have to try. The walkers are multiplying, and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. And if they want to eat, eat they will.

Director Greg Nicotero spoke with Entertainment Weekly ahead of the season premiere tonight and teased that the episode opens up in the middle of an action sequence. The episode will then jump around a little, going back and forward in the story, giving the audience to put together their own idea of what we just watched.

Following season five, he explains: “There’s a lot of really great things that happened that we built to at the end of last season that we get to really start in a sort of explosive manner.”

The director also spoke about all of the walkers that will feature, saying: “Every season we reevaluate the place that the walkers have in our story. Sometimes they have a very important storyline…

“Other times, they’re a peripheral secondary character while the drama’s sort of unfolding,” he explained. However, he added: “This season, the walkers and the walker threat is definitely more of a featured character…”

The Walking Dead returns tonight, and it’s an episode you’re not going to want to miss. Don’t forget UK fans, tomorrow at 9pm on FOX is when you’ll get to see what goes down.
