According to a report from gossip magazine OK!, Andrew Lincoln, the man who plays Rick Grimes on the hit AMC series The Walking Dead, wants to leave the show for good! Rick is the main character of The Walking Dead in both the comics and television show and his exit would be very unusual, why is Andrew wanting to leave?
According to the article from the latest issue of OK!, Andrew is tired of dragging his family to Georgia for long periods of time during filming, a quote from the article can be found below:
"Andrew Lincoln, who plays deputy Rick Grimes, wants to be zombie feed! His rep denies it, but our sources are reporting that the actor is tired of dragging his wife and two kids from their native England to Georgia where the show shoots, so he is planning his exit."
The reasoning behind his supposed wish to leave is understandable, especially to anyone who has a family of their own. It would be really weird to watch The Walking Dead without him however so I really hope it isn't true.
Let it be noted however that representatives of Lincoln have reached out to multiple gossip news sources to deny these claims. So that is at least a bit encouraging!
If they do decide to kill Rick off, and let's hope they don't, then I pray they he at least gets a respectable death. Rick is an absolute beast and their is no way they can kill him off in any way other than him taking his life to fight for others.
If the day comes that we see Rick Grimes as a zombie, that will be the day many Walking Dead fans around the world will be in tears. Andrew Lincoln has to stay, what will "COOOORAL" do without him?
