Chandler Riggs of "The Walking Dead" cast recently discussed his thoughts on spoilers and fear of death on the popular AMC show. In a game of "Would You Rather," he also chose to make out with a walker!
The news comes to Design & Trend via a series of interview clips from Chicago's WGN-TV. While much of the chat focused on Riggs' "popularity" in public high school, "The Walking Dead" star also revealed his outlook on a series of walker-themed topics.
First of these was speculation of Carl's death in future episodes. While the interviewer believes that Carl is an "untouchable" character that's destined to last beyond five or six seasons, his actor doesn't feel so secure. In Riggs' own words, "whenever I get a call from Scott Gimple or any of the executives I get really scared," he admitted. As an example of this anxiety, Riggs told a story of how Scott summoned him to reveal a season 4 death mostly unrelated to Carl's character.
Not only is Chandler thankful to be a part of a "Walking Dead" cast that seems to constantly shrink, but the show's massive success also defied the actor's initial predictions. Before landing the role of a lifetime, Riggs and his dad thought a show about zombies would be a stupid idea. "We were wrong I guess," he joked.
When it comes to a show as popular as "The Walking Dead," spoilers are a hot topic. Upon being asked if he is ever scared to accidentally spoil plot events during interviews, Chandler surprisingly replied in the negative. In fact, he told viewers that "I'm still speculating stuff. By the last episode of the season I'm kind of where you guys will be." Especially before late April when Riggs and the rest of the cast receive the first scripts, there's more in common with the show's fans and its cast than one might think.
Following these gripping tidbits about "The Walking Dead" Chandler also took the time to play a quick game of "Would You Rather" with WGN funnyman Jeff Hoover. While most of the questions were somewhat standard fare, the most interesting debate came last. When given the choice between licking butter from a homeless person's toes or making out with a walker, Riggs very quickly decided that making out with a walker was the best option.
As for Riggs' future beyond "The Walking Dead," the Carl Grimes portrayer said he's still auditioning for roles to expand his portfolio.
"The Walking Dead" season 5 continues on March 1 with a brand new episode.
